Amen!! I'm not sure of your religion, but I do agree on this one point...even if we have a different view of the Bible.
I believe Scripture(Holy Bible) is the inspired word of God, which is why I do NOT embrace any religious denominaton. If more People would study the scriptures for themselves, pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit, focus on a RELATIONSHIP with God, and loving fellowship with other Saints, a great deal would change.
Religions are man-made and NOT of God. It always amazes me, when various Christians, Muslims, etc involved in organized religions, debate and argue among themselves concerning the meaning of scripture, salvation, the trinity, etc.
Many are quick to say this and that taught by YOUR religious group is not in the Bible. Yet it never occurs to them, that their denominations are also not in the Bible. The people are the Church...not a building, temple, hall, mosque, congregational room, or ANY building with four walls.
In the same breath, many denominations will proclaim: "wide is the road that leads to destruction", usually implying that other denominations are false, and at the same time they will boast of how their organization and/or denomination is GROWING. *sigh*
Religious Denominations by it's very nature will eventually cause members to feel attacked or on the defensive, because every relgion is flawed, and has a little truth and error. Religion is based on laws, rules, and human opinion. This requires a level of spiritual arrogance that leads one to believe they are holier or more righteous than others, whether they are conscious of it or not.
The above, causes one to speak for PERSONAL reasons, instead of for God. Thus, you have feelings of being attacked, placed on the defensive, wars, hate crimes, and more. The Lord taught against this constantly, and it's very dangerous.
It is possible to fellowship with others, while praising and worshiping the Lord, in a location that is non-denominational.
Thanks for posting this question. Blessings, Miji

I totally agree, hear me now...It doesn't matter what religion you are apart of, It doesn't make a difference to Jesus what you are! The only thing that matters is having a RELATIONSHIP with Him. And in any good healthy relationship you need to put forth 110%.
John 14:21
"Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."
Be Blessed and Rejoice in the Lord!
Think about it...so many people (not you of course)(reader) think you have to be "Jehovah's Witness" or "Baptist" or whatever, (a certain religion) to get into heaven or to be saved. Nothing against them or anyone they are good people but, its the truth.
Just have a serious relationship w/ Jesus w/out the religion junk. Christianity- Christ like. Jesus didn't say you need to be this certain religion or that religion. He did say..
1 John 5:1
EVERYONE WHO believes (adheres to, trusts, and relies on the fact) that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah) is a born-again child of God; and everyone who loves the Father also loves the one born of Him (His offspring).
Peace Be Still...

Agreed... It is not about religion. It is about an individuals personal spiritual relationship with the living God. True Christianity is the only way God has given us to restore our relationship with Him. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
Religion may bring us to Him,
But God will keep us with Him.
Praise and give thanks for His awesome love, mercy and grace!
You'll have to show me those Jesus "quotes" in the Word before I can accept them... the concept is there, but not the quotes.

I completely agree with you. Religious leaders have warped bible truths for the sake of the almighty dollar. But there has to be a religion out there with true Christians. Jesus said there would be in the last days. I've just got to find them, thats all.

I agree, but right there you have created another religious set of beliefs. Religion is just a word don't get hung up on it.
