You don't need to find others to consider yourself a part of a particular religion, but it will be easier for you to learn from people who are already a part of that belief than for you to try to figure everything out on your own.

If you don't believe in God, you are not a Christian. You must personally ask forgivness for your sins and ask Jesus to lead your life. Just because your mom/dad are Christians does not mean you are. Christianity is a relationship with God through his son Jesus. God gave you free will. You can be anything you want to be. But, he wants to have a relationship with you. That is why he made you. Remember, your choices have eternal concequences. Read the book of John in the New Testament of the Bible to see how to become a Christian.

Jesus invted everyone to accept His free gift of eternity in heaven, and you don't need anyone else's permission to become a Christian. Just read the 10 Commandments and try to live by them, and ask Jesus to help you live by them and forgive you for the times you fail. Jesus said the most important thing is we love one another. If we do that we will have a better world.
