Why do people say God can do the impossible?

If it is impossible, it can't be done, God or man.
Why don't they say, the really hard to do?

They don't make sense. If the impossible is really possible, then they lied? God isn't doing the impossible, he is doing the possible?

Why call things impossible if impossible doesn't exist? Maybe they meant hard to do? God does the hard to do things?

Some things WERE "impossible" for man, IE tv, computers, cars, planes at one time, but as man becomes "God" he is able to do more and more.

Perhaps nothing is really impossible with the right knowledge?

They call it the "impossible" because it's impossible for us humans, but that doesn't at all mean that it's impossible for God. There is no such thing as man becoming God, although there are some who seem vein enough to consider themselves to be. Any power that we have that is comparable to God's (healing, etc) is a gift given to us BY God and is HIS power working through us; not our own.

Technology is a completely different subject and it is pale in comparison to the power of God in the same way that the light of a flashlight is dim in comparison to the sun. The things you and I consider to be miraculous are far less miraculous in the eyes of God because of His awesome power.

Every thing is possible for God hence the fact that their is nothing impossible for Him. The things we consider impossible God can do so i think that is where the phrase came from. Don't let it confuse you.

There is no 'impossible' for God. Man cannot reach the level of God, in intelligence and all aspects. That is why, only for God can anything be possible.

Because Jesus did the impossible on earth. He raised people from the dead, he restored the vision to the blind. And those things are impossible.

Man cannot understand what is possible and what is impossible.
Is it possible for him to open his eyes for the whole day?
Is it impossible for him to die?
How can he have enough intelligence to question God?

Ask the Germans in WW1 - one of their mottos was "God is on Our Side" [GOTT MIT UNS] and how ironic, God was on OUR side , too.

Now that's impossible. Or "he" just let those nasty Germans down.
