Make sure the prospective owners are hunters or at the very least have a very large fenced-in property.

Beagles are hound dogs and thus by nature are hunters. A beagle is not happy in an apartment or being walked on a leash. They need room to run and things to chase. If they have not been trained to hunt, they leave amazingly fast. If you live near a local hunt club or have any ways of contacting hunters in your area such as by posting a notice at a local gun shop, Gander Mountain or other sportsman-based store or club, your dogs would be welled received and taken good care of.

Beagles are also wonderful around children and are happiest in a family environment, as well, generally speaking.

You need to make sure you match these dogs with someone who knows about active dogs and can give them a happy life. Just interview the people first to make sure they know what they are getting into with a dog with a nose like a vaccumm cleaner and a mouth like one too.
