You know why:) but to refresh your memory...when you first go out they are infatuated with you. The majority of men want to treat you special. Once they get into your pants, or have you hanging around with them for awhile, you get taken for granted. Once you tell them "forget it" they realize their going to lose their good thing (and that it may take awhile to find somebody else that would find them attractive enough to want to be with them). Anyway, your question begs another, why isn't your man treating you correctly right now? I mean why should you have to threaten to leave or take away the sex to get the right treatment you deserve?

First of all, threatening them by leaving doesn't make them start acting right. It will at first yes, but after awhile they'll be pissed off at being manipulated by a woman and then women lose out in the end.
Second, NEVER NEVER NEVER threaten to take away sex. They will go find it elsewhere, that's been proven over and over and over again.
If you want them to start acting right, then TALK to them. They will listen and will behave accordingly if you treat them like men, not boys.

Because to them you are like their mother threatening them and now they have to be on good behavior to get rewards and treats.
Mature women dont have to use sex against their men, because they make better choices and choose men and not little boys.
Once you can lower yourself to such tactics it's just a matter of time before the man figures you out and he'll be on to more games and you wont have that control.

It seems natural for guys to see what they can get away with...how far they can push the envelope. I always find it best to be upfront and honest from the beginning, and let them know what kind of relationship I want. Threats and witholding sex are just games...don't stoop to that level. Just be honest, and if they aren't on the same page, move on...

in my personal experience...
because i'm completely infuriated that i've just been presented with an ultimatum and i'm trying to keep my cool as I figure out how best to leave that person.
ultimatums kill relationships, regardless if the other person leaves or not.

Cause you're like a diner. Open 24/7 and when we're done we can leave or come back when we want.

it's not that they start "acting right" it's that they quit being themselves.. he's not being himself, he's being fake so that he can keep getting what he wants from you.. before you did all that, you got a glimpse of what your life would be like if you married this guy..
