If you just got him, he's probably still stressed from the changes in his life. Don't worry, he'll eat when he gets hungry.

Work out whether he is eating at all. If he isnt, try different brands of both dry and wet food. Dogs sometimes wont eat if they are in a new situation or they will hide from you as they eat. If he is eating but in secret and not alot, give him a week and keep an eye on his weight. Try a product available from a pharmacy for kids called 'incremin'. Its a vitamin and iron supplement for children who are fussy eaters. It stimulates the appetite and the amounts in it are at a safe amount for a dog that size, if you use the instructions for a 2-3 year old. He just might not be a big eater. My bull arab eats next to nothing and yet he weighs over 200lbs. If you get really worried, take him to the vet. Peace of mind is better than piece of nothing.

He could very well still be trying to adjust to the new home. I was having some problems with my older dog eating her food so I bought some cans of all white meat chicken in water and just started mixing in half of a can to her food and now she eats it, the chicken is good for them plus dogs love the taste of meat. Hope this helps. Good luck

He may have had bad owners who did some kind of psycho-training around food. You could try leaving him alone with food and then gradually being present so he realizes there's no more punishment around food. If it's a serious case, he may even need to go on drugs temporarily to lower his inhibitions and get back in the habit of eating.
You could tempt him with brewers yeast - very good for him and they seem to love the taste. Most pet stores have it.

That sounds like hes still adapting. Try working on his sweet tooth. Give him a teaspoon of maple syrup over his food. Once he starts eating on a regular basis (no more than a few days) stop giving it to him.
