jus wondering if you can make jerky out of chicken, i love some good jerky, and also love chicken.

yes, buy a ronco food dehydrator. i always wanted one of those to make fruit roll ups.

Yes, you can. I have been making it for about 10 years. I use boneless, skinless breasts. Cut into jerky sized thin slices. Marinate 4 hours to overnight in teriaki sauce, bought or homemade. (It is also really good to add extra hot sauce.) Drain the meat and put in your handy dehydrator until the meat is dry and yummy. A helpful hint is to turn the jerky over after the top looks dry. It helps keep it from sticking later. I store it in Ziploc bags for a week or so, if I am keeping it longer I keep in the freezer. Oh, and another hint. It the jerky looks a little oily, blot with a paper towel, it keeps the stuff fresh longer.

the only time i have seen chicken jerky is for dogs so I dont have a receipe but if they can make it for them that it can be done for us.
