Yes.
I had a client who was a witch. We got along well, I helped her out with what she needed.
That night, a black cat (no lie, my husband was right there) was sitting on my doorstep. We dont have a black cat in our neighborhood and havent seen him since. Once we got out of the car, he went away.
It was kinda freaky. It may have been a coincidence, but hey, it was my belief that she sent this cat to say thanks.

Witchcraft is neither "black" nor "white" -- it's a technique, like prayer, that's used in a wide variety of religious contexts. It's what's in the heart of the caster that makes it helpful or harmful. (As a Wiccan, I am bound by the Wiccan Rede: "If you harm none, do what you will".)
I practice the technique of witchcraft, so yes, I believe in both witches and spells. A few of the spells I've cast have had rather dramatic effects. In the case of one of the healing spells, a wound that had been resisting treatment and refusing to close up for days began to heal with what the nurses on the hospital ward called "amazing speed" after we did the working. In the case of a cat that I requested be adopted from our local Humane Society, not only that cat was adopted, but all the other cats in the same room within a week -- something that the managers were astounded at, since such things very seldom happen.
These might have been coincidences. Then again, they might not. In any case, I've seen witchcraft have some beneficial psychological effects quite apart from any "practical" results that might come about as a result of it.
Witchcraft 101 would go something like this, at least as I was taught: All things in the universe are interconnected by energy, which some witches (including Wiccans) perceive as Divine in nature. This is how witchcraft works: by focussing my intent, and using sympathetic correspondances (certain herbs for courage, for example), I can create an amulet using those herbs which will stimulate courage in the person who wears it. Similarly, by using a lock of hair from a person who is ill, I can (with their permission) set energies in motion that will help them to heal.
In this sense, witchcraft is a very mechanistic worldview. The entire universe is seen as a giant interconnected machine, and by applying one's will to exert pressure one area, one creates a cascade effect that causes change in another area.

First of all, there is no such thing as "black magick"...unless you count the name of those chocolates (Black Magic Chocolates). I hate to quote a movie here, but the only good or bad is in the heart of the witch.
Secondly, I believe in witches because they are all around us, just like Christians or athiests or...yadayadayada...
Third, I do believe in spells, because I believe in energy, and all spells are is moving and focusing energy.
Last, I believe in it all because it works, because I believe anything is possible and because there is no harm in believing. I agree with Wiccan faiths that hell is a creation of Christianity (though I have nothing against Christianity, some of my best friends are Christians) and does not exist (at least not in the way most believe it does). I am not Wiccan however, I chose to follow my own spiritual path.

Yeah, I do. I've seen too much to NOT believe in it. I used to be Wiccan. I never actually met anyone who used "black magic". I sometimes used what I called "conditional curses." I always warned the people they were going to be used on BEFORE I used them, and I always gave them an out. For example, I put one on an ex that no woman would let him approach her until he changed on the inside, and became a better person. I warned him; he didn't believe me. I suppose after four years of not being able to get a girlfriend (or even get a woman in bed), he started to believe me.
He changed, and he's married now.
So yes, I do believe in stuff like that, I just don't use it anymore. I gave up witchcraft YEARS ago. Now I'm a Christian.

yes. herbal potions and remedies sometimes work if they contain active ingredients; some of modern medicine is based on natural ingredients, lucky charms make people feel lucky-hence they work, black magic does exist but doesnt necesarily work; i imagien it makes you feel better and is cathargic if you feel you have been wronged.
