balance has to be equal on both feet in order to slip a punch! when you punch your weight transfers to the leg of the hand your punching with !

In theory your balance must be equal weight on both feet, but it really depends on the preference of each fighter. Both Floyd and Zab keep the majority of their weight on their back foot meanwhile you have fighters like Barrera and De La Hoya who keep their balance equal, bend their knees and sometimes at the waist to avoid punches.
