It can take up to 3 weeks to process an electronically filed return, the 10 day quote can be possible if there were no errors or issues with your return.

If you e-file, and there are no problems, then you can get your refund direct deposited in as FEW as ten business days. Check the IRS website at http://www.irs.gov to find out when the IRS guarantees your refund deposited.
We were informed by TurboTax that we should have ours as early as February 9, IRS stated we would have it by the 20th, and it came on the 15th of February.

Should have been 9 calendar days, actually, if you efiled and requested direct deposit giving them the correct account number, and nothing was found to be wrong with your return.
If you efiled but didn't ask for direct deposit, then it takes about an additional week and a half.
If something was wrong with your return or with the account number, or if you filed by mail, it will take significantly longer.
If you efiled, with direct deposit, and don't have your refund yet, check the "Where's my refund" section of irs.gov
