I was thinking Remington and Norelco, but Phillips is also a good one.

If you go by market share, Philips is the largest in the UK with a 60% share so they are arguably the best. however they only do rotary shavers!

Braun is the number 2 with a 21% market share and they only make foil shavers
Remington is the number 3 with 17% so they have to give more features in their products than braun/philips as to offer better value for money. They make both rotary and foil products.

You can also by own label, like Boots and even some at superdrug. depending on what price you are looking to pay and what type of shaver you perfer expect to pay from £20 - £150 for foil and from £30 - £200 for rotary ones.

does that help?

Depends on what shaver type suits you

The best trimmer/foil is on Brauns.
The best plain old head is on Remingtons.
The best rotaries are on Philips Norelco's.
