I just hit the 1 year mark on my lease, and unfortunately I also have had a sessure. According to NY law, you can not drive for atleast a year if you have a sessure, and maybe more, because you have to be sessure free for a year before they will review your abiltity to drive. While a year seems not to long, paying a lease payment each month for a car that I can't drive just stinks. I just wanted to know my options before I call up the company.

You can ask the company, but they are under no obligation to cancel the lease.
You may be able to freeze the payments for a while, but again, it is up to their discretion.

Finance companies do not usually care about medical problems, you could dump the car in a river somewhere to get the ins company to pay it off, or find someone that will assume payments.
