Bridal shower gift and wedding gift are two separate gifts.
For the bridal shower you can pick something small and useful. Ask if they have a "themed" shower, normally is bath, bathroom, etc. You don;t have to spend a lot, since is an office affair and you willl be purchasing a big gift for the wedding.
My sugestion is to go to the dollar store or supermarket, and buy a basket and fill it with kitchen stuff. That is a perfect example of an appropiate Bridal shower gift. You can pun in pasta, wooden spoons, wine stoppers and charms, a cheese cutter, and a apron on a colander and wrap it in Cellophan paper and tie it with a ribbon, Buy a card and voila!
Good luck

Depends on how well you know her... Since you were invited to the wedding you must be well aquainted (sic) So stick with the bridal registry, nothing too racy since you dont want to embarass her in the office...:) I'd opt for a gift card if she has them on her registy. Then get something a little more expensive for the wedding.

A wedding/bridal shower gift is the same thing .... now if you are feeling generous and want to purchase 2 gifts I am sure the bride will not complain LOL.
As far as what to get her for the bridal shower. Purchase something off of her bridal registery ... after all that is what it is there for. Those are things that both her and her husband to be want/need so it will definetly be appreciated. Or if you want to get something for just the bride. You could also buy/make her a gift basket or something to pamper herself (bath salts, fragrent candles, lotions, body sprays, etc.).
Hope this gives you some ideas

Were you invited to the wedding? Are you going? Were you invited to her "real" shower? Did you go? Did you bring anything?
If you were invited to the wedding and "real" shower, AND you attended (plan to attend) both, I would get her something small, whether or not you check her registry is up to you. But I would say around $20 at the most. Nothing major.
If you weren't invited to the wedding, I would say the same thing.
If you were invited to the wedding and are not going, I would give her something big for the shower.

Yes, you pick the office gift from the registry list. You should've taken a collection from the entire office and bought something really good with the funds. Typically that's what we do here.

Shower gifts and wedding gifts are separate. I would suggest sticking to the registry, since that's what she has indicated she needs the most. However, cash is always welcome!
