NO!! Don't listen to these people. Anything UNDER 48 hours will break your perm down and you won't have a perm anymore. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about. I had a perm 6 months ago, waited 48 hours and my hair was fine. The salon I had it done in I used to work in, DO NOT wash it now! However you can wet it a little bit and scrunch with your hands, but do not rinse or shampoo it at all!

You can wash it today and some of the times that is just what you need to do to tame it down if it is too curly. BUT, it will relax your perm a bit so don't do it unless you really want to get rid of some of the curl. If you REALLY want to get it to tame down, wash it, condition it, rinse the conditioner out and condition it again, etc. But, again, just be sure that is what you really want to do first, because after you do it, you can't go back!! Good luck.

You can wash it when ever you like because a perm breaks the disulfied bond in your hair cuticle so it cant be undone until it grows out. Try using product for curly hair such as Matrix curl life it is applied after you shampoo it helps fight the frizz. Matrix also has Curl Life shampoo and conditioner try them out.

i would wait atleast 48 hrs. also when towel drying hair after you wash it, blot the hair instead of wringing it out, it will help control the frizziness. use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. also when brushing start at ends and work way up to scalp, that will cause less breakage.

yes, you are able to wash the hair now, but anything under 24hrs. will deactivate your perm.
