I´ve booked 8 flights on easyjet for my mother as 'Maria Stein'. Her name in the passport is 'Vera Maria Stein'. Is it ok?

For changing the name I would have to pay 26 euros per flight.

I've emailed them asking about it, but the answer will come only in 20 days!

I could phone them, but I'm from Brazil, and my English is terrible for speaking by the phone. I can only write and read properly. Thank you for helping me!!

Most airlines will let you do a 'name correction' for no charge. As long as the name is not entirely different - which in your case it is not, they should add the 'Vera' for no charge. I would try to call the airline as they may have someone there that speaks your language and will be able to help you. Is this airline located in your airport? You could also visit the airport and talk to a ticket agent there. The name on the ticket must match the name on the passport or your mother may be denied boarding.

I am not sure now, because of all the terrorism laws etc. If you dont get an answer, does your mum have anything else with maria stein on and a photo? So when she gives her passport in, and the question it, she can say, look her, this is the name I normally use, but my passport is old.

But if you are worried, i would call them, or go to a travel agents, and ask their advice, maybe they will call for you!

Your mother should not have any problems since the name Maria Stein is on both the pp and the ticket. There are lots of people in the world that use a middle name instead of their first name.

It shouldn't be a problem since it is close. What you are doing is not a name change, usually that means you are transferring the ticket to someone else. You are just editing the name. There should be no reason to have to pay for that.

Cancel all of that, and make a new booking with the right name as in the passport.

It should be fine - I fly with Eastjet to Glasgow all the time and they always get my name almost completely wrong - not the same as my passport but almost. IHowever, I would suggest taking more than one photo id as a backup.

That should be fine as long as the name matches the passport, and it does don't worry.

The name on the ticket must match the name on the passport exactly, so you will need to change it.

I think it will be fine. I traveled from US to Mexico with a passenger who used his middle name, as your mother does, and we had no problems.

I agree that she should bring a couple of photo ids though.

Good luck!
