i have 9 years no claims discount and have just recently sold my car. i plan to do without a car for a while and wondered if there was a time limit on your no claims discount if you weren't driving?

I checked this with one insurer a month ago.... and they told me 2 measly years. That isn't a lot really is it.... I always thought it was 3 years.

with most companys it lasts 2 years but some will let you use it up to 3

9 years no claims, u maybe best to try to freeze or somethin, insurance normally ask for proof of last insurance to show no claims, if ur gonna have gap, they will ask the question, but u may lose if you dont keep up
