The Christian God is the same so the Jewish God. Those who say the Old Testament is invalid sare horribly mistaken.

1 Tim 3:16-17
"16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

Now this was written at a time when Christianity was already heavily developed yet the New Testament Canon was not finalized. Therefore, "All-Scripture" refers mainly to the Hebrew Scriptures.

All the Characteristics of the Jewish God are the same as the Christian God. As I always say, the Bible never contradicts itself THEOLOGICALLY. The Bible is always describing the SAME God and never contradicts itself in that description of WHO God is.

Scapegoat you are really ignorant. God of the old testament is the god of the new testament. And Jesus Christ always existed f even from the beginning of time. Rember the Trinity - God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

The way you frame the question implies that Jesus came to set up Christianity. He didn't. He came to fulfill the Law, and to bring those who were lost into a relationship with the Father. The term christian, was a derogatory term when first used in Antioch. But later on, Peter told the believers (in the JEWISH messiah) not to be ashamed if they are called by this name. So in all truth, we are Jews by the grafting of one branch to the main tree.

I am more than willing to discuss this and the other "observations" you have made. Feel free to contact me.

The Christian God is the same as the Jewish and Muslim God. So your question/comment is a bit inaccurate. The only difference is how the people worshipped God during those times and now.

Not true. The Christian God is the same as the Jewish God. Jesus was a Jew. I can see by your question you know absolutely nothing about what your speaking of. Go study religion for a decade or so and then come back with your questions.

Christians would say that their God has always existed.... Christianity began with the New Testament, but their God existed in the Old Testament, correct?

Christianity began after Jesus died. The term "Christians" was first used in the book of Acts. As for there being no God before that...read the old testament.

As another respondent said, no it's neither stranger nor true.

You're presupposing that God and Jesus are one, first of all. That is not the case. Almighty God made the decision to send Jesus immediately upon condemning, Satan, Adam & Eve, for their rebellion. He referred to a seed which would bruise Satan in the "head". Everything written leading up to Jesus arrival on the scene as the Messiah (or sent one) points to he was that seed. Christianity was simply the group of people that started follow Christ's teachings.

Besides which, even if your assumption that Jesus & God were supposed to be one, Jesus spoke of having a pre-human existence... he is spoken of as being among the heavenly creatures who rejoiced when God created the first human pair.

My original post: He is not even bound by time. Therefore he always existed. In fact even before Christianity began the Jews and many people were already worshipping God

edit: (extra stuff)
I have decided to edit my post because most of you refuse to believe that God the Father is equal and coexistent to the Son, Jesus. Therefore, Jesus Christ is coexistent and equal to God the Father himself. Also note that He is one of the Persons of the Holy Trinity. Therefore he is God. His Manhood only began when He was incarnated.

From scripture and philosophical/logical reasoning, they both should be the same. The Father declared to Moses: I AM WHO AM. God the Father is the source of all being, and he is self existent. If Jesus is One with the Father the his name as well should be I AM. I Am is the name precisely given to Christ by Himself: Before Abraham ever was, I AM.

The Christian God was the same as teh Jewish God since Christianity sprang from Judaism. And, if you ever care to actually look up religion instead of spending your time mockig it, you'd realize that God came first, then man, so God was always here.
