Compressing files?

I need a utility to compress files to half their original size or less.. something like winzip and rar, but more efficient... Any Suggestions?

I think WinRAR is the best but don't know if your required compression rate is possible. Depends on what you want to compress. At least you will not be able to compress a graphics file to half its size. Good luck.

Click on properties of any program and go to advanced. There you can tick the square box that says compress and then click O.K. Then click apply and away you go. Sometimes it will ask you or tell you that all files, such as sub-files cannot be compressed, so you can either ignore this and proceed or just do the main file without compressing the sub-files.

for vedio files u just have to convert them into mp4 format and it will automatically compressed.
