I currently have Virign Media but want to switch to Sky, will I have to have a dish installed? If so, how long will it take to install?

currently have Virign Media but want to switch to Sky, will I have to have a dish installed? If so, how long will it take to install? Will I have to install it myself or will Sky do it for me?
Also, I'd have to switch to BT- would I have to change my phone number?

yes you will need installation, you ring and book an appointment and they will come round in the next few days. it takes about an hour to install everything.

You can keep your number when you switch to BT( but I wouldnt because their customer service is crap and they try to bill you for things that you dont owe if anyone has lived at your address ever that has not paid their bill). It might take a couple of weeks extra to switch as BT need to contact Virgin to take the number if you really want to keep it.
You need to have a dish if you are getting sky as it is transmitted by satellites and it doesnt take too long to install

Yes you will need a dish installed. Am not sure how long it would take as it may depend on what type of residence you live in (ie -flat or house). I live in a flat and it took the engineers about 15-20 mins.

yes, to receive all the benifits of SKY you need a satellite dish as SKY is a Satellite TV company, only other way is via cable if you are connected to a cable system. Installation is very quick as they want your money.

Hi to have SKY TV, you will need a dish.
When i moved to my current house, i phoned them up on the monday and it was put in on the Thursday, as they had another job in the area.

i think there is an offer on at moment where the installation is free, and they will come when it is good for you, just sky call for info.
