Today is the first day of school begining, it should be a special day, however, I still got up late in the morning.
I am happy that I met my classmate, Anne, in the daytime today, we had lunch together at our school restaurant and went to class together, and we didn't come back until this afternoon, when I went back to my dormity it's almost dark and kind of cold.
Especially, I took two English courses that teachers always use English to teach us today, one is a female native Taiwanese, and the other is a male foreign teacher who is about 30-year-old and named Jeff, I don't always clearly listen what they said, ha ha, for my listening is not good enough, but I will make efforts to improve.
In fact, I feel it good after class, and I hope that I will still be their student in the near furture. But I also hope I am not lonely and my friend, Anne, can be together with me in class. After all, this matter still depends on my friend's will, but may Anne's decision of this as same as I.

OK, You want us to help correct the draft, right????

Today's that first day of school! Shucks, I woke up late, even on this special day!

However, I was happy I could catch my classmate - Anne, in time! We had luch together at the School Cafetaria! We really had a freak out time till late, after that! When I returned to the Sorority [Dormitory for Ladies; or Fraternity House if you're a guy] it was really getting dark and cold!

I take two English Courses here and one of my Teachers is a Taiwanese lady while the other is Jeff, a foreigner who's 30 years old! I don't really focus on what they're saying, heehee[if you're a girl]! I know I need to work on my listening skills!

It's great trying to learn and perfect my English; but I'd be very lonely if my friend Anne were not to stay!? I hope that she will decide to stay on with me and we'll be able to complete our studies together!?

I hope I managed to understand you correctly and improve your draft to a more "Native English" or rather colloquial American variety!

All the best!

Cheers!

Simon Templar

Oh, by the way, a belated "k'ung hay fat choy" for the year of the pig!

Awww shucks! Amazing Mark singled me out for being a dumb Yank who "doesn't know proper English"? Sheesh, these Brits will never understand that we speak American, not English!

Isn't the word that 'concerned' is looking for "malfunction", not misfunction?

Here we go Snoopy. Many of the answers here could be correct except for Simon Templar's effort of course but here is my input......

I am happy that I met my classmate Anne during the day, we had lunch together in our school canteen and went to class together and we didn't come back until this afternoon. When I went back to my dormitory it was almost dark and quite cold.

I took two English classes today in which the teachers always use English to teach us, one is a female native Taiwanese and the other is a male foreign teacher who is about 30 years old and named Jeff. I don't always clearly understand what they say as my listening skills are not yet good enough, but I am making an effort to improve.

In fact, I felt good after class and I hope that I will still be their student in the near future. I also hope that I am not lonely and my friend Anne and I can be together in class, although this still depends on my friend's wishes but I hope that Anne will feel the same way as I do.

Here is my take on how it should be written:-

Today the first day of school is beginning. It should be a special day, but unfortunately I still got up late in the morning.
I am happy that I met my classmate, Anne, during the morning. We had lunch with each other at our school restaurant and went to class together, and we didn't come back until this afternoon. When I went back to my dormitory it was almost dark and kind of cold.
Today, I specially took two English courses where teachers always speak English. One is taken by a female native Taiwanese, and the other is taken by a male foreign teacher called Jeff, who is about 30 years old. I didn't always listen clearly to what they said, ha ha, because I am not attentive enough, but I will make an effort to improve.
In fact, I felt good after class, and I hope that I will still be their student in the near furture. But I also hope I am not lonely and my friend, Anne, and I can be together in class. After all, this matter is still up to my friend, but I hope Anne’s decision is the same as mine.

If you are looking for advice on how to improve what you have written in English, then here goes:

"Today was the first day of school. Despite it being a special day, I still got up late in the morning.

I was happy to meet my new classmate, Anne, today. We had lunch together at our school restaurant and went to class together, and we didn't come back until this afternoon. When I went back to my dormitory it was almost dark and kind of cold.

I deliberately took two English courses where teachers always use English during the class. One of the teachers is a female native Taiwanese, and the other is a male foreign teacher who is about 30-years-old and named Jeff. I didn't always clearly listen to what they said, ha ha, for my listening is not good, but I will make an effort to improve. I actually felt good after class, and I hope that I will still be their student in the near furture. I also hope I won't be alone and my friend, Anne, can be together with me in class. This will depend on Anne's decision, but I hope her choice is the same as mine."

Good luck with learning English!

Here is how to write it in more correct English:

Today is the first day of beginning my new school. It should be a special day. However, I still got up late. I am happy that I met my classmate, Anne, during the day. We had lunch together at our school restaurant and went to class together, and we didn't return until the afternoon. When I went back to my dormitory, it was almost dark and kind of cold. I took two English courses today in which the teachers always use English only to teach us.
One is a female native Taiwanese, and the other is a male foreign teacher who is about 30 years old, named Jeff. I didn't always listen to what they said (ha, ha), for my listening skills are not good enough, but I will make an effort to improve. In fact, I felt good after class and I hope that I will continue to be their student . I also hope that I will not be lonely and that my friend , Anne, can be together with me in class. This will depend on my friend's wish, but I hope Anne will feel the same way as me.

It should read .....

Today is the first day of school and it should be special but I slept in this morning. My friend, Anne and I met up today and that made me happy, we had lunch together in the school canteen and didn't get back until this afternoon. I went to my domitory ... it's almost dark and quite cold.

I especially took two English courses which have teachers who always use English when teaching us. One is a native Taiwanese and the other is a foreign man about 30 years old; he's called Jeff but I don't always listen to what's being said too closely because I find it hard to keep up with what's being said but I will try to improve. Infact, I feel good after the classes and hope that I can stay in them in the future but my main hope is that Anne and I stay in the same classes and study together but only if she wants to, I hope she will.

Today is the first day of the new term of school. It should be a special day, but I nevertheless got up late this morning. I was glad to meet my classmate Anne today. We had lunch together at the school restaurant and attended class together, not returning until this afternoon, when I returned to my dormitory, which was dark and chilly.

In particular, I took two English classes today, both taught through the medium of English. One teacher is a Taiwanese lady and the other a foreign gentleman of about 30 years old, who is named Jeff. I found it hard to follow what they said, as my concentration is not good enough, but I will make efforts to improve.

I feel good about the classes and hope that I shall remain with these teachers in future. I hope too that I shall not be lonely and that I can continue to attend class in the company of my friend Anne. This, of course, will depend on how she feels about it, but I hope that she will agree with me on this matter!

By the way, I would avoiding using the term haha in writing. If something is funny (and this isn't!), people will decided whether or not to laugh!

Today is the first day of the new school term. It should be a special day, though I woke up late this morning.
I am happy as I met my class mate, Anne, today and we had lunch together at our school restaurant and attended lessons together. It was almost dark and rather cold by the time I returned to my dormatory.
I studied two separate english courses which are used by teachers who also wish to learn the language. One of the teachers is female, from Taiwan, and the other is a man clled Jeff who's in his 30's. I'm not paying as much attention as I should but i'm going to make strong efforts to improve.
Actually, I feel quite good after the classes and I hope I can continue with these courses for the forseeable future. It would be nice if Anne were able to continue with the studies too because it always helps to have a friend there to encourage you.

"Today was my first day at school. It should be special but I still managed to oversleep.

I'm glad I met my classmate, Anne. We had lunch in the school canteen and then went to class together. We didn't come back until this afternoon. When I went back to my dorm* it was nearly dark and quite cold.

I'm on two English courses. One of my teachers is female and Taiwanese and the other is a male foreigner called Jeff, he's about 30. I don't always pay attention like I ought to - joke - I don't always follow what they say, but I'm working on it.

I enjoy classes and I hope to keep at it. I also hope I won't get lonely and Anne will still be around. It's up to her, but I hope she'll decide to stay, like me."
