How well do you know your coworker ? is it a very professional environment or more relaxed atmosphere ?

You can always try to break the ice with :

" Bonjour, comment ca va aujourd'hui ? " or " C'est une jolie cravate que vous ("tu" if you guys are cool enough lol) portez " and remember to give a genuine smile :)

or impress him with a more friendly way : "Salut, ca va ? hmm, j'aime bien ton parfum, c'est quoi ? " lol... I hope you understood all my little tidbit phrases.

Or he you want to hit on him : "Salut beau gosse, (hiya handsome) quoi de neuf (what's up), tu fais quoi ce soir (whatcha doing this evening ) ?

Just remember he will love that you are actually trying to talk to him in his language. And you can actually just ask him personally instead of us to teach you a few words : peux tu m'apprendre quelques mots en francais s'il te plait ? with a huge grin ! lol

which means nothing...then you've got him for the evening

Level 3 HARDCORE

(pronounced Je taim, tu va koo-shay avek mwaa?)
I like you, will you sleep with me?
