The Abrahamic Covenant is instrumental when considering the Babylonian exile. God unconditionally promised the land of Israel to Abraham's physical seed forever. Unlike the Mosaic Covenant, God did not condition the land blessing upon the Jews' obedience. Therefore, the Land portion of the Abrahamic Covenant was the exiled Jews' promise that they would eventually return to their land (just in case they disbelieved Daniel, Isaiah and Jeremiah that the exile would only last 70 years).
The Mosaic Covenant is a "conditional" covenant -- meaning God would bless them IF they obeyed the Law and curse them IF they were disobedient (Exodus 15:26 and especially Exodus 19:3-8). At Deut. 28, God provides a list of specific blessings and curses He will provide, depending on the Jews' obedience. The curses outnumber the blessings, and run from verses 15 - 68. If you read through the curses, you'll see that the majority of them are related to driving the people from the Land. The Babylonian exile is simply the fulfillment of these curses, due to the Jews' disobedience.

The Abrahamic Covenant is unconditionally applied to all of the Hebrew line. It can be acquired by others only by receiving Abraham's promised seed, Jesus Christ. It does not, therefore, relate to the reason for the Babylonian exile.
The Mosaic Covenant is conditional and speaks to moral, civil and ceremonial law. Therefore, punishment can be exacted. The exile came about because the covenant people would not listen to the prophets.

Well....the Hebrew people continually violated the Law & the covenants....
therefore we had the split kingdom (northern & southern)....and eventually, the Babylonian exile.
