You can bring things as long as they could not be used as a weapon or to make into a weapon at a later point during your trip. You are allowed to bring creams, perfume, toothpaste etc as long as the liquid is less than 100ml per item and can be put into one resealable plastic bag for the trip. You cannot take nail scissors, nail files (metal), or anything that could be considered dangerous. Consult the website from your airline to gain further advice as each ariline may differ also. Happy travelling :-)

Hand luggage can be no larger than 56cm x 45cm x 25cm (22" x 17.5" x 10").
All sharp items are restricted and liquids/liquid based items can be taken but in containers no larger than 100ml and must fit into a transparent re-sealable plastic bag (max 20cm x 20cm, or 8" x 8") which you can usually get at the airport.
Baby foods can be taken but only enough for the journey and you will be asked to taste them as you pass through security.
Prescribed medicines have non restriction but must be accompanied by proof that it is prescribed to you, ie: repeat prescription or doctors note.

Basically, its the depature area itself.
In DUblin airport once you have got your tickets and are queueing up to go into departures this is teh are where you are going to be screen.
You cant bring any bottles of water or drinks in with you.
Your makeup/mediciine ets must be placed in a small clear plastic bag, with any medicine:shampoos:make up not being over 100fl oz.
if you want a bottle of water for your flight, buy it in departures.
try to just pack everything into your luggage, and carry on the bear essentials, of a book/magazine, etc.

the only changes made recently apart from the obvious like sharp object, guns, lighters etc is that you can't take more than a total of100 ml in liquids through the security check after passport control and these have to be carried in a transparent plastic bag no more than 20 x 20 cm. No drinks, unless for a baby, and then you will ahve to taste them yourself in front of them, liquids include cosmetics, but you can buy bottles of water and of course booze, after you have been through the security check.

nothing sharp, but also no liquids or creams or anything over 100ml. Any liquids or creams under 100ml that you need in your hand luggage has to go into a little clear plastic bag, which they will give you at the airport.
best though just to carry the bare minimum in your hand luggage and then you can't get it wrong!

Basically, put all your liquid stuff in your main luggage.
If you smoke, don't carry an expensive lighter in your pocket....they will take it off you.
Once you go through departure...You are free to buy things and take it on the plane.

you cant carry on in your hand luggage gels, liquids, sprays, pastes (ie.toothpaste) of any kind, your best checking with the airline, although at the airport when you are checking your hold-luggage in, you can ask the attendant dealing with you about certain things you have in your bag, if they cannot be carried on, they will let you quickly put it in your hold-luggage.

while you're travelling on a US enjoyed ones service, knitting needles and crochet hooks are on the TSA's "allowed" checklist on your carry-on bag. in spite of the undeniable fact that, the spectacular selection maintains to be with the TSA agent on the protection checkpoint. The agent might override the TSA policies if he/she feels an merchandise is achievable. To be risk-free, take a self addressed, stamped, padded envelope. Thread a lifeline on your artwork in basic terms in case. If for in spite of reason the agent would not enable the needles by, take the needles out and mail the needles back to your self. The stitches would be held effectively on the lifeline. of course, p.c.. greater desirable needles on your checked bag so which you would be able to resume knitting as quickly as you land. i've got flown with knitting needles many circumstances on account that 9-11 and have not been stopped, yet I consistently have my envelope with me in basic terms in case.

Best to check with your travel agent or the airline. Almost all airlines have different rules, but it seems that bringing liquid is very restricted, so no cans, bottles or similar stuff.
