nope - get her into intensive training now while she has a chance of absorbing the information. if she makes a mess of it now, her career is done for and you only have 11 years to develop her before she starts the modelling part of her career. The vocals will need to be finally ready 2 years after that and you need her to not have faltered. If you let this performance go ahead, it may destabilise your plans for her future.

I am having a lot of trouble comprehending your attitude.
SHE IS YOUR CHILD!!
SHE IS ONLY 3!!!
Of course you MUST go and you MUST tell her she was FANTASTIC!!!
3 yr old children do not sing horrendous, they sing like children do.
I am a teacher, so I have experience in this as well as child psychology. You must support her, as to her the most important thing is to have you there, she wants you to be proud and she is giving her best. Please do not tell a 3 yr old that her best is not good enough for you!!! (your absence would show that.)
Her musical ability is not the issue here, it's building a love of music that is. This will build her confidence, don't destroy that. It's also about having a go, trying your best. These are skills that need to be encouraged. Your attitude really sucks.
She is a little girl that wants and needs her daddy. Be there for her, your 'gift' really means nothing to her and anyone else. You are missing the point.
BE A FATHER.

Get down there and support your Daughter!
Thick Skinned at 3 yrs old? This could devestate her.
Shouldn't you be proud of her for just having the guts to get up on the stage and try?
As One who understands music, you should know that voice is another muscle and you have to excercise it, and that a 3 yr old is not going to be perfect or remotely ready to Wow the Crowd.BUt If you support her now, she may decide later that she is good enough to try learning a musical instrument.

OK, now I know you're being sarcastic. A thick skinned 3 year old? Maybe you meant 30 and didn't type the zero? Who on earth expects a 3 year old to have a Celine singing voice? Even Charlotte Church prolly couldn't sing that well at age 3. get off it pal, even if she's 30 or 100 years old you should support her in whatever she wants to do.

Are you for real, or have you just submitted this to get an outraged reaction from people?
If you are for real, then you don't deserve to be a father, and she doesn't deserve to be put down in this way by a mealy mouthed excuse for one either.
Stay away, and let her have her moment without suffering unjust criticism from the person who is supposed to love her unconditionally. I hope she has a mother who loves her for who she is - and she dumps you out in the street for actually admitting that you're ashamed of your 3 year old. Or are you just jealous that it's her up on that stage and not you....

Competitive Dad Syndrome a la 'The Fast Show'. Good to see the spirit of the character is still alive today. Too funny!!
A bit like the time my 3 year old painted a picture of 'Mum and Dad' I've never seen such a diabolical use of colour in my life and don't even get me started on the perspective and form........
Added: Is the irony of the question lost to everyone?!?! Get the joke & with the programme, come on, he's not serious.....

You should aways be proud of your daughter no matter what her ability is. Why are you asking this question i would be ashamed if i was you. Your daughter should be your pride and joy. And you should always be there for her no matter what. She is only a baby yet. I hope this question is a wind up, because you know what i would hate you to be my dad, your so self centred.

OMG you're such a bad parent! you're daughter is only 3 and already you're criticising her performance. just because you think so highly of yourself doesn't mean your daughter should suffer, and if you're so 'gifted' then why don't you teach her and nurture her talents. nobody deserves to have parents like that!

Just tell her you've got a cold and don't go. It's not worth putting yourself through the pain and misery. Hopefully as she gets older she will realise how s**t a voice she has got and will concentrate on modelling or becoming a Big Brother contestant.
