Thanks to a federal law enacted in 2005, everyone is entitled to one free credit report per year. Don't fall for "FREE CREDIT REPORT" ads in which you're required to sign up for credit monitoring to recieve your report. You can get it at AnnualCreditReport.com.

go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com you get a free report from each agency once a year on this government site.
