I have been seeing a Korean guy who treats me very well. He is generous and protective of me. I am not Korean and although it was not a problem with his family, it was a problem with mines. I didn't treat him very well and I have always been insecure. I use to check up on him a lot. My family now love him to pieces but I feel our relationship is no longer the same. I want to treat him better and salvage what was a good thing. I don't know if its too late. I would also like to adapt to the Korean culture.

Thanks for the advice so far. You all have a good point. That was quick! I am treating him much better and I am no longer insecure but I want to do something really special for him. Any advice?

Also do you think intercultural relationships work? He grew up in Korea and I have always lived in the UK.

Well that's easy, STOP being insecure and treat the guy like he treats you. It's not rocket science. Talk to him about your insecurities, give him the opportunity to talk to you about his. If you care for each other, it's time to sit down and have a serious talk about your future together. Communication is ALWAYS a good thing.

seeing an korean guy? im seriously saying that you should think twice. Korean guys are always nice, considering, sweet at first. later then you'll see how they order you, control your personal lives. Well, not most korean men are same.
I know a professor, he had asked a korean man who was working in my country for years that why he didnt marry or date any locals. The 24 years old korean guy answered "they are not enough slave"
I've been working and meeting many korean, 90/100 of them are rude with disrespect to women, even to korean girls.

I want to say they are always nice at very first, then they are they are

You need to work on your self, it sounds as if you have a lot of baggage, so you need to read books on self esteem and learn to treat people as you want to be treated.

Its not what your family feels its how you feel. If you like him, good. If you dont like him, nothing can change that. xx
