I would like to answer your question seriously. Atheists believe that there is insufficient evidence that would, if available, prove that a supernatural deity actually exists. The problem that theists have with atheists is that science is always changing. Faith based religion, or theistic belief does not change.

Take for example the debate concerning global warming. This debate has been running now for well over 40 years. When it was first tabled it was brushed aside because there was insufficient evidence. There was also a belief that humans could not affect the world in such a matter. (Can you see the difference between evidence and belief here) As the amount of evidence became overwhelming, people started believing. Now the subject of global warming is in the front of many peoples minds. If God was put under the same scrutiny, then I am afraid that it would be found to be a big scam, people don't want to believe that,, now do they.

Atheists stand for peace and harmony, respect for others and compassion for all humanity. Can that be said of christians? Muslims? Jews,, need I go on?

Some could call them Satanic worshipers but I chose not to.
It does bother me though that, although, they are one on the smallest minorities in the US, they shout the loudest. They distort our laws and our system. They constantly misuse the "separation of church and state" part of our Constitution. Saying that any reference whatsoever to God or religion is wrong in our government. When, in fact, that was only put into the constitution to protect the religious rights of the people to worship how they wished to. Another words, that our "new" government could not dictate what religion people choose to be. They have of course gone so far as to change the wording to "freedom from religion."

The main reason this was put into the constitution was because the King of England and other countries had done that. And, surely, many of the settlers of the new world came here to have freedom of religion.

So, what are they called? Well, they are atheists but not all atheists are totally against religion, as such. But the atheists are the driving force behind the breakdown of our system, which, is a very large majority, Christian. It is, as George Washington, warned about, a minority trying to impose their views onto the majority.

I call myself anti-establishment

I don't agree with organized religion but I do believe there is some higher power out there, be it God, Allah, Buddha or some force, but that it's silly to pay some other person, build a large ornate house to worship it in, if it should be worshiped at all.

I've also heard the the term "Humanitist" I use that one too. I remember it was something like: belief in the internal power of humans, and possibility of a higher deity

Good Luck

Anti-religious is probably the most accurate reflection of that viewpoint. There is a different in a belief/non-belief in a supreme being (i.e. Christianity - belief in God and Atheism - no belief in God) and a personal view about religion. They are not one in the same, nor are they mutually exlclusive. Religion is an organization/institution that is based on a belief in a higher power/deity/God. Thus, the analogy or framework supplied by the mention of atheism is slighly off base. Again, I would just say that someone who is totally against religion (in an organizational sense) is just anti-religious. After all, there are theists against religion.

Religionist: a person(s) against religion or disapproving of religion(s). Also, it is important to note that you can believe in God(s) and not follow a religion, that could make you a pagan since pagans are people who do not follow a religion or the religion they follow is not a mainstream one like; Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism etc.

atheist, they are against all religions because they feel that there is no higher power that created the universe and they think believers are closed minded and stupid in worshiping a God that you can't see, hear and touch.
