Well, speaking only from my time in the US Navy... in basic training and certain follow-on schools, you'd get your ***-handed to you !!
Either by your instructor, or by the class you are with (the blanket party others allude to).
Just for the US Military, here's where they can get you in the UCMJ:
§ 891, Article 91 (Insubordinate conduct toward warrant officer, noncommissioned officer, or petty officer) Any Enlisted member who treats with contempt or is disrespectful in language or deportment toward a warrant officer, noncommissioned officer, or petty officer, while that officer is in the execution of his office; shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
Admittedly, in my instructor tour I was teaching folks with a minimum of one year in service already... so if they WERE witty I might laugh at a smart-alec remark... and THEN correct their attitude.

well that all depends on your Sgt. If he is a prick your in trouble. But if he is cool and laid back then you may not get anything. As for how far you go that is all in how far you want to go. When you go in front of the board and they ask you about going up it's about how you answer. If you want to be a Donkey though you are not going far, be in a lot of trouble, or dishonorable discharge which will kill any chance you have outside of the Military. Have fun.

Never know you could get far but it down to who your instructor is really. Some can have a great laugh others need some dynamite up their @rse. You might be jailed or charged for it but its once again up to the instructor.

Not very far at all. Because the instructor would punish your whole group by making them do extra work, and not getting time off. And then THEY would kick your butt. [Did you ever see the movie "Full Metal Jacket"? Do you remember the "pillow party" scene?]
Good luck with that.

Depends on the superior's sense of humor.
But probably remain a private or go back to being a cadet.

How far would you get?
Probably as far as the cannon-fodder brigade on the front lines.
