It means, you can be punished for what your parents did. I think thats totally wonderful, don't you?

Imagine what happens in heaven, based on this, were someone else to make a mistake, but yet, you get blamed for it too?

This must be a fair and just God to serve.

God does not pass on curses. He does not hand them out lightly. A curse from God is brought about by the actions of those that participate in sin. If an entire generation actively participates in a sinful deed, such as the Holocaust, then the generation will suffer. Because of the hardened hearts of the perpetrators of this sin the children of them are not taught the good ways. Suffering continues. It stops when repentence and the learning of God's ways are returned.

In the Judeo-Christian Old Testamant. It says we suffer for the sins of the Fathers unto the third generation.
The Christ however, in the New Testament. Said we do NOT suffer for the sins of the Fathers.
But Christ spoke from a spiritual perspective. And therefore , both views are correct!
The Source of Life doesn't make anyone suffer for the sins of the Fathers. Nevertheless, Man WILL!

He doesn't pass on the curse. We do. If we can't see the problem in the behaviours, then we won't seek to change them.

Children learn what they live.

"Sins of the Father" rings a bell hear.

A curse my mom gave one time "I hope you have kids just like you, when you get older."

These all seem to fit the same pattern. :)

There is no such as generational sin in the bible neither the original sin which catholics declared. Remember that sin can not be inherited by your kids and the kids of your kids and so forth and so on. The sin of Eve is not your sin You have done your own sin and you can ask forgiveness for it.

Everyone carries his own cross. Any assertion that God visits the sins of the father on the son is not tenable.

Where the new testament is concerned the generational sin is no more. Only personal sin are you accountable for.

So that the next generation wouldn't forget about Him. Because through every new generation God was more and more forgotten.
