What type of disk is needed to download my picture folder to a CD?

I am using a DVD+R but my computer keeps telling me that no disk is in drive. What am I doing wrong?

Maybe you don't have a DVD writer, try using CD-R.

please uninstall the drive from the device manager which in the hardware tab of the control panel system option and then reboot the system this would refresh the settings and you must be able to continue with the cd writing
