Here's another coke can idea - this is really amazing. There is very energy efficient engine that can be built with aluminum cans. This type of engine could easily be adapted to work on solar energy and power all sorts of things in people's homes. It takes a couple of hours to put this together.

Collect the old soft drinks cans, and use it to create a windmill to produce electricity.
This has 2 benefits:
1. The nonbiodegradable cans are eliminated - benefits environment.
2. To some extent you are using a unconventional energy source - wind energy - Bio-friendly non-CO2 energy.
