When i recently went to my dentist office for a check up they wanted to take x-rays and i said no b/c i might be preg so they just looked at my teeth and did a cleaning. They did find a cavity;( They did say that if i am preg they do not like to do work unless you are in your second trimester so i mad a appointment for May. Which works out great cause i just found out that i am 4 wks preg.
So call your dentist and your O/B and ask them.
Good Luck!

I'm not any kind of expert on dental, but if you think it feels inflamed, and it smells like an infection is ensuing, it may not get better until something is done. I don't know how long ago the work was done, but if you're worried, so am I, especially if you also have a temperature or don't feel well.
Of course your dentist may have a simple answer for you if you can call him.
If you don't have open sores, you may want to rinse your mouth with a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution two or three times a day. I do this daily. Call your local healthfood store for food grade hydrogen peroxide.
It usually comes in a strength of 35%. Mix 1 part to 11 parts distilled water for 3% dillution. Don't get the concentrate in your eyes, and flush skin if contacted. Be sure not to swallow the rinse.

It sounds like you have gingivitis which is inflammation of the gums this is easily treated and very common in pregnant woman. You should go back to your dentist to see the hygienist who will clean your teeth and give you advise on oral hygiene.

Gingivitis.. is what it sounds like.. I would get it checked out.. Womens gums are more sensitive while pregnant as your body.. So, while you were pregnant for your teeth to bleed and stuff would be understandable some..not good you'd just have to keep up on good oral hygiene but if its after your pregnancy I would def. go to your dentist and ask them about it... good luck!

This isn't too much to worry about. This sort if thing happens to all ladies who are or have recently been pregnant. I should correct itself within the first year of birth but if you are still worried consult your dentist.

Sounds infected - so why haven't you gone back and said something to the dentist?
