if i touched or grabbed my girlfriends bottom at school or at the movies how do most girls react to that and would this be good to do

In the dim lighting at the movies....yes. (if she allows it)
Remember to respect, by not hanging all over her.
While kissing is a good time to slide your hand
to her bottom, then gently squeeze. (in private)

This is a GREAT idea !!! You should DEFINITELY DO IT! Girls love when a guy has his hand up their aasz. in public. It would help if you used a megaphone and announced "hey! check out what i got!" A little tip buddy, go to a sporting goods store and buy a mouth piece and a nut cup. Cuz your gonna be needing these, with thoughts like that. Good luck !!

At school don't think about it.Everyone will learn about it.
You should try this when you are on your own and if she reacts nice grab her bottom whenever and wherever you like.

depends on your g/f, do you think she would be embarrassed by this in a public place? most girls see it as harmless but if you get a negative reaction, simply apologise and dont do it again
