I have a work-out schedule and I've stuck to it quite well except today I was really tired. I'm supposed to do strength training today and cardio tomorrow. I'm feeling a spark of ambition and have the energy to do my strength training... a 45-minute work-out, but I will be going to bed 2-hours later. Should I do it in the morning instead and do my cardio later on in the day?

You should do it in the morning because it will charge your body and you will burn more calories throughout the day.
Also, after your workout your body will be hyped and it will take a while to calm down. It is also easier to be motivated in the morning. Whatever you do find a time and try to stick to it. It is better for your body to do your workout around the same time each day.

As far as exercising goes, the golden rule applies "DON'T leave for tomorrow what can be done TODAY".
It is true that some people may get their heart rate and metabolism too wired up and then finding it difficult to sleep, however, there are others who sleep like a baby after a good workout, because they feel tired and relaxed.
It is a very personal call and only you can determine how do you feel after a workout in the evening.
Statistics show that people who workout in the morning tend to stick better to their routine than others, however, no one is a statistics, every individual has his/hers own style, personality and metabolism.
Find the schedule that is best for you, your work and your family and STICK to it, rain or shine, defend it with tooth and nail.
Good luck.
