Jesus M. I do not have a low I.Q. That question maybe should be directed to people who believe in the Bible. I'm not saying I'm an athiest. But if every can believe in a book that has been rewritten over and over by a number of people with alot of discrepancies, then why can i not believe that this may be Jesus' body and child or the Da Vinci code for that matter?

The finding of the so-called bones of Jesus Christ and his family is just another crude attempt to discredit Christianity. To prove that the bones are those of Jesus you need a tissue or blood sample of the Biblical Jesus. Since there is nothing to compare it with, everything will just be conjecture and theory. No one will benefit from it except those who are behind this story. It is a business venture that will make millions just like the Da Vinci code.

Amos Kloner, the Israeli archaeologist who wrote the original excavation report called the claim "nonsense." Kloner noted that Jesus was from Galilee and had no ties in Jerusalem. He added that the names found in the burial site were common during the time of Jesus. He also said the tomb belonged to a middle or upper-middle-class family during the the first century and that the cave had been vandalised. Commenting on the documentary Kloner said, "It is a beautiful story without any proof whatsoever."

Peace and every blessing!

They will deny it regardless of the evidence.

I have read the case, and they have better sourcing than the Bible. There is also limited testable physical evidence to back it up. That ain't a real high standard, but it is still more evidence that there was a Jesus at all than the book that Christians follow, and since I already wouldn't argue against a historical Jesus it is quite fair for me to argue that this is what it looks like.

I have also read what little I could find on the case against. I am sure there will be more later. It was pretty hard to follow because I don't have an advanced degree in writing styles, but they were arguing style and the date because of the style. The guys site that was against it was more than fair because he had about 10 pages of back and forth emails with three guys on the other side. I have no idea who was right and it could probably be argued forever. I know for sure that he was well credentialed, didn't seem to have a bias, and thought it dated 9th century which means no way.

One thing that I have not been able to find, that I am sure was done was radiological dating. I haven't seen a single test result here, but that would go a long way to deciding the paragraph above.

The write ups are pretty short on details because they want you to watch the show on Sunday, but you can bet I will watch. Let me say that right now I think there is slightly more chance than not that they have exactly what they say they have. The guys doing it have a little too much of a reputation to risk it without at least a solid case.

The big thing is there is a ton more evidence that I have already seen than for claims like they found the Ark. If this agreed with Christian ideas they would already have this guy up for a Nobel Prize.

I think we are getting a public relations pattern here. First we had the Da Vinci Code Book -> Movie
Then we Judas Gospel 'discovered'
Then we have this miraculous discovery
All within a year.
Maybe someone is trying to prepare us for something ;)

They have not found Jesus body and he never had a child. Just as God works on earth so does Satan. So, the answer is no it does not ruin Christianity.

It would if it had happened but are you really going to put any creedence to a 27 year old rumor already declared a hoax by leading scientist. Hey, I bet you stop going to a doctor because Tom Cruise said medicine wasn't necessary most of the time. Hooray for Hollywood!

They did not find Jesus' body. And He did not marry nor have children. That is a story coming up in a MOVIE someone is hoping to make a lot of money for.

you are asking question that speak on your very low IQ (intelligence Quotient)you believe on the movie show, TV show and written news on a newspaper about the alleged bones found but you do not believe the bible of the Christians. Examine your self, if you are wrong or correct then ask forgiveness about your wrong actuations to our God and Savior

Jesus is a very common name. The business man who says he found Jesus' body is about to make a lot of money from the fools who will make him rich.

i think not ruin christian why certainly they never forget there a bible who been kick from canonical when all bible reunite by time (canonical) and represent the bible we know now. i remember the gospel philip indicate that yesus are married.

and as far i know davinci code are fiction book write based in these gospel philip who are not elected in canonical. who indicate that yesus married.

A single manuscript of the Gospel of Philip, in Coptic, was found in the Nag Hammadi library, a cache of documents that was secreted in a jar and buried in the Egyptian desert at the end of the fourth century, when Gnostic writings and pagan ones were being burned by the official church.

so they not only destroy pagan books but other yesus teaching too
