Perhaps he's not comfortable with being with a 20year old, or doesn't want people to see him differently.
People usually just leave problems where they found them, rather than talk about it.
Just keep trying to talk to him, whatever the reason you will feel better knowing what's up.

He's a lot older, he's already been where you were sixteen years ago. You're just on the dating "scene" but he's been there. He probably wants to have a marriage and settle down with life. It's him, not you.

Its because there is such a big age difference. He is alot older, ready for marriage and probably just isnt interested in you anymore. He probably found another older woman who he could see his life with.

it maybe that he has feelings for you but because of the big age gap and is embarrassed and feels it's wrong to have feelings for you because of this age gap so results in him being awkward around you.
