Marrying and having children is definitely NOT a sin. If it is a sin the world will come to a stand still. In fact by marrying and having children is the best way to learn tolerance and adjustment. No two people see eye to eye in this world. The relationship in families start deteriorating. But the family is an ideal place to develop virtues. By remaining a bachelor, responsibility will be in dole drum. We must face challenges in life in order to evolve. God has created the genders in order to save the species from extinction.. Human beings are special in the sense they have got the ability to love and understand each other. The children can be brought up in a congenial atmosphere and they can be trained to become better citizens. Hence remove the concept from your mind that all the above is sin. nagarajan.

I did not see your other post. I can tell you that Jesus said, " It is better that you be like me, if you must marry to save you from sin of the flesh, that is good." So, it is not a sin to marry and have children, do so in His name and raise your children up in the Lord. But it is better to be as Jesus was, pure. Some where along the way, people have gotten it backwards, they have children and do not marry, that is a sin.

Marrying and having children is not a sin. In fact, if anything, I would imagine God would promote it. Where did you get the idea that it was a sin? People just don't like the idea of Jesus doing it. Don't ask me why.

I don't know where you got that idea from, because it is a wrong idea, Marrying and having Children is no sin, and Jesus was without sin, he never did sin at all.

It is not a sin to marry and have children, unless God directs otherwise. Jesus did not marry because Jesus is God. God has no need of marriage, since he is the bridegroom of the body of Christ. After the final resurrection there will be the marriage supper of the lamb, but this is something totally different from earthly marriage.

obviously those answering and wondering why you are asking this ... did not read the answers you recieved to your previous question where someone suggested it would be a sin
but no it wouldnt be sinful to marry and have children
that isnt the issue
what the issue really is
if Jesus married and had children then he would have mortal needs therefore would not be the son of God

For Jesus He had to abstain from human sexuality. He was God incarnate. Having children they would have super strength, and then that would defeat the whole purpose of Him coming down to save us. If you read in Genesis there were angels/demons that came down to have sex with people here on earth. God never intended for them to do that. Jesus was to stay pure for us. We are made in His image, but that was for man to have this pleasure, not God. Marrying is for Humans.

its not a sin.those who want to marry are free to do it and are encouraged to. and those who feel they will fulfill God's will for them can remain celibate and there's no sin in that either.
Jesus can to save souls not join the world & have an purely earthly life and i suppose that's why he didn't marry.....either way whatever his purpose, marrying & having childern is not a sin

You beat me to the punch on this one. I was going to ask it myself but oh well, I will just have to add it to my watch list.
I think Christians like to call things a sin when it doesn't agree with what they have been told to believe. It is just easier than questioning their faith.
