Sad that Jesus suffered so much - but of course, as a Christian, I believe in the resurrection. Which means that I believe Jesus (the son of God) is alive now, and always will be a friend.
Sad that I sometimes do things I shouldn't... and sometimes don't do things that I should. Happy that God is willing to forgive me if I am serious in asking for forgiveness. Before I became a Christian I used to try to forgive myself... but I never was able to
honestly figure out how that was possible.

I'm not sure that the word happy is the right word to describe it but we do as Christians rejoice in the fact that Jesus laid down his life for us so that we can have eternal life. When you become a Christian death takes on a whole different meaning. It is no longer the end of life but it is the beginning of eternal life. Jesus' death was not the end but it was the beginning of the most wonderful thing that has ever happened in creation. All Christians in fact all creation rejoice is over what happened.

This is a question for sinners not for Christians.
Those who had faith in God and trusted Him , and fulfilled the 10 comandements could go anytime to Heaven, like Prophet Ilie (I don't know the English for this name ), Ilie (who was taken to Heaven by a carrage in fire and horses without being neccesary the coming of Jesus {implying His death (actually He was killed by priests , people and Pilat, but priests decided)}.
So acctually cronologically I am not guilty Jesus was killed , maybe my grand grandfthers...like the other part of the world who let Him be killed ..
But let us pay attention to the fact that Jesus identifies Himself with any of us, and if we make any harm to some ..or be indifferent ..it is considered that we mahe harm to Jesus Himself , actually to God , because He is a god, being the eternal Son of God.(The Father ).
And He was killed because the priests became sinners at that time (they were not like Isaiah , Daniel , Iezechia . These wouldn't kill Jesus if they lived at His arrival ). Priests were proud as if they were God Himself...I suppose ...Actually if they were not proud they would have bowed to Jesus like some ordinary people did. How it comes that some ordinary people knew that Jesus is the Eternal Son of God and the priests didn't believe it?
And if at that time priests stoped being saints like Daniel and Isaiah and Iezechia , the people needed a moral leader so Jesus had to come so that the people could find again the Way to God.and Heaven. So His coming was necessary , manny sinners apearing , so God was right to think even from the begining that Jesus shall go on The Earth ...
So ...Jesus Himself said he didn't come for the right people , and said He had come for the sinners...You see...Because right fellows didn't need Jesus to come ...because they already listened to God and fulfilled His comandements anyway...Of course manny are sad Jesus died but it was the decision of the Holly Trinity ...and besides Jesus identifies Himself with any one of us, that is why He said that the two sinners who were cruciefied together with Him shall go to Heaven if they believe in Him. So crucifying any of the sinners at that time.. they already used to crucify God somehow...every time ,because everyone was having a soul from God, and this is the link between we and God , that is why we are called ''children ''if we follow Him.

Jesus dying on the cross doesn't mean "us guys" are automatically going to Heaven. First we have to accept Jesus as our personal Savior. He is the light and way to the Father. I'm happy that He loved us enough to die for us and sad that He needed to.

Actually it is a paradox - both|
We are sad for the pain that Jesus suffered, but glad for His resurrection after that occurred that brought Him to infinite glory with His Father, and has allowed us to follow Him in that glory if we persevere in being faithful to Him|

Being happy or sad is not the issue. It's acknowledging the fact that He died for my sins. (Notice I said "MY"-- It's a personal relationship that has been developed with Him). My beliefs aren't subject to debate, just like your's shouldn't be. Either you believe or you don't. There is no middle ground.

I am sad that I was responsible for His need to die and so blessed and grateful that He was willing and so absolutely positive that He rose again and will do the same for me because I believe. Honestly, this I believe.
