It sound like you have what's called a social phobia, a fear of meeting people, fear of crowds, fear of mixing with people. This is treatable, but only with therapy. You may need some medication for a while to take away the anxiety or help it, but talking therapy or group therapy is what you should be looking for. Talk to your doctor. There are many things out there for you that can help you.

Your observing and writing what you are struggling with so make it a daily goal to do the opposite. Your level headed enough to sort this out so why wouldn't you be able to see if people are trying to take advantage of you? Also consider that's a problem within them and learn to trust yourself starting with getting rid of the label. Try not to give yourself excuses and go out and have some fun.
