Usual signs and symptoms are abdominal pain, bad taste in your mouth, furry tongue, feeling nauseous when smelling or eating rich / spicy foods, vomiting with blood content (late stage) Best to have it checked out right away if you experience pain. A simple test ( barium meal) or scan will identify if there is a problem. Good Luck.

Hi, I have a stomach ulcer and the sympoms I get are : burping, wind, lots of pain the stomach, burning in the stomach, fullness, and a heavy feeling in my stomach. I've been put on antacids which help sometimes and then other times not. I am exercising to lose some weight now. Stress isn't the cause of stomach ulcers now! And sometimes neither is H Pylori bacteria... My results were negative. I just have an acidic stomach and prone to ulcers. Hope this helps a bit! chrissy

The most common symptom of a stomach ulcer is pain. When people talk about ulcers, though, they usually mean peptic ulcers. These form in the stomach or the upper part of the small intestine, called the duodenum. They cause sharp or burning stomach pain. A type of bacterium called helicobacter pylori (or h. pylori) is the main culprit.
The pain is caused by the ulcer and is aggravated by stomach acid coming in contact with the ulcerated area. The pain typically may:
Be felt anywhere from your navel to your breastbone
Last from a few minutes to many hours
Be worse when your stomach is empty
Flare at night
Often be temporarily relieved by eating certain foods that buffer stomach acid or by taking an acid-reducing medication
Come and go for a few days or weeks
Less often, ulcers may cause severe symptoms such as:
The vomiting of blood
Dark blood in stools or stools that are black or tarry
Nausea or vomiting
Unexplained weight loss
Chest pain
Though ulcers often heal on their own, you shouldn't ignore their warning signs. If not properly treated, ulcers can lead to serious health problems, including:
Bleeding
Perforation (a hole through the wall of the stomach)
Gastric outlet obstruction from swelling or scarring that blocks the passageway leading from the stomach to the small intestine.
Taking NSAIDs (Advil, Nuprin, Motrin, etc.) can cause any of the above without warning. The risk is especially concerning for those over age 75 and for those with a prior history of having peptic ulcer disease.

Oh, you will feel something moving inside your stomach also you can hear sounds from there. It will become acidic and you will burp occasionally. But then, so as not to aggravate it further, try to drink more water everyday. Also drink YAKULT. It will help a lot to make your stomach feel better. Never eat salty, sweet, fatty and spicy food. If you are a coffee drinker, better not put sugar. Because sugar will cause your stomach more painful due to the acid it will produce. Also eat papaya for it contains alkaline.
Hope these might help you solve your problem. But you got to go to your family doctor.
Have a nice day and GOD BLESS US ALL.

you would have pain in your chest area after eating, sort of feels like a stitch or could feel like indigestion. You need to see a Dr though, I had an ulcer a few years ago and thankfully medication made it better, leave it too long and it will get alot worse.
