Well there are speculation, a couple of claims and some theories, but my question is why does it matter?

Jesus was actually married three times. In order to be a Rabbi, and teach at the synagogue, it is required that he have been married, so get past that problem. His first wife was named Cypros, a Nabateen Arab and daughter of Cypros and Alexas. Together they had five children, Three boys Adminius, Guierious, and Caradoc, and two girls, Eigan and Gladys. His first wife's name is not mentioned in the bible, so don't go crazy looking for it...
His second wife was named Mary Magdalene, as unfortunate as it sounds there is some historical evidence to suggest that she may have been one of Jesus sister's. I can hear the collective jaws dropping of all the Christians, so get over it, this is what history, says, not my personal viewpoint. History does not record if they had children..
Jesus third wife was Aricia (Areddig), which is recorded in the Tactitus records as Cartismandus. There is no record of them having children either.

Christ's atonement is for each individual. do no longer worry it, it incredibly is the main acceptable difficulty i've got ever experienced. the situation i've got faith you will choose the main help with is discontinuing the movements. the real possibility of this activity is which you're putting your self able to circulate extra. Because it has been the standing of the Church that Jesus was above mortal desires. To say that Jesus was a mortal man with a wife and a child or children would take away the view of him being above the world and only a spiritual person. Not to mention the fact that to be married and have kids means devotion to family life and the Church wants to show him as only being devoted to spirituality.

In my opinion, this is pretty sad because I feel it is much better for someone to be spiritual while still grounded in the real world.

Blessed Be )O(

One thing I don't understand is how others say that Jesus had to be without sin. What puzzles me is, how is being married and having children a sin?

...Let's not say Jesus Christ was really married and had kids, and then say we didn't.
...Hollywood and other fantasy-driven folks make up many things, such as this story.
...The Scriptures give us trustworthy accounts of His life, and nowhere does it mention a wife and kids. If you look at time, His ministry was 3 years, and then He died for our sins. He spent lots of time with His disciples and visited synagogue and went into people's homes and to weddings - He also spent much time in prayer, sometimes all night.
...When would He have had time for a wife and kids?
...He was born to die in our place, for our sins, and He lived a sinless life, and was raised for us. He purchased salvation for all who will believe.
...It matters because it is a lie and concocted to discredit the Bible, and get the focus off the real message of the Bible, which is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.
...Whosoever will, may come.

If he did, then good for him. Marriage and sex within marriage are sacred and holy, and that just means to me he embraced the teachings of Judiasm. Jesus was Jewish, Christianity didn't come around until long after he was crucified. But like another poster said, we'd probably have crazed fundies trying to worship his descendants, and that could cause a lot of problems for those people.

Well, I don't know the total effect it would have. But I suspect that it would cause a lot of people to lose faith in him, religion and god, in that it would bring him closer to being actually Human rather that Divine. Personally, I don't think it should matter. It wouldn't change the miracles he preformed or the message he gave.

If I was christian then I would start to search real bible. And respect god more. Being a muslim we already know that god has no kid or anythingelse seperated from him ı mean ı cannot believe in holy three or whatever you call them. We respect all the prophets and we believe that we can be like them if we work hard but if you call a prophet son of god then no use to work hard you can never practice well what he show to you because he is god. I would lose my hope. After reading davinci code I did respect jesus more and ı renew my hope for last coming of jesus or his gene

believe it or not I love the jesus so much I saw him in my dream and ı love him so much so much so much

If he had kids then we will have people who are blood-related to him and I suspect that these people would be worshipped or thought to have some special powers... That is as in the society aspect... but religion-wise, it would be complicated...Jesus is the Son of God and so, his children would be the grandchildren of God...I dont think we should ponder upon it because it wouldnt matter...

I guess that will ruin the Christan faith as a whole, if Jesus didn't die on the cross and resurrected on the third day, then the Christan faith is finished. So if Jesus was married and had kids then he surly didn't have time to die on the cross much less resurrect.

Impossible ...Jesus live a perfect and sinless life .He had to.. it was the only way he could be the only one to suffer , shed his blood and die on the cross for believers sins. And took his sinless blood to heaven as a acceptable sacrifice that God would accept for the many sins he paid for . Hope this helps
