cups are measure of volume. grams are a measaure of weight. you can't equate these two. you need to convert a cup into a metric measure of volume, namely, milliliters. A liter
(1000 milliliters = 1000 ml) 1.057 quarts, which is 4 cups, so a cup is 250/1.057 ml = 237 ml. So,
1/3 cup = 79 ml (you can round to 80 ml)
1/4 cup = 59 ml (you can round to 60 m)

US cups lol
a cup is a unit of volume, not weight, so one cup of milk powder is about 125 g or 5 oz. It is 200ml of liquid or two old fashioned tanblespoons 6. 8 fl oz - you therefore need 66 ml of milk -
Butter on the other hand is easier, 1 cup of butter is about 225 g or 8 oz
so you need 2 oz of butter, or 56 g of butter

Cups are a measure of volume. As different ingredients have different densities (hence weight differently per unit of volume), you need a conversion chart to translate the volume to weight.
Try the link below, with weights per cup of a lot of common ingredients:
