Be careful of what you ask for at McDonald's... one must remember that they are usually staffed by underpaid and in some cases, mentally ill teenagers... so what looks like a runny egg, could in reality be some type of disgusting human fluids... IE snot or something expelled from the lower regions... I'd skip on the runny eggs in public... and for God's sake, never scold or ridicule them and return your food so they can give it a do-over !

They are not allowed 'Its Company Policy' due to runny eggs can contain (excuse the spelling) Salmonella and McDonnald do not want to pay up when you sue them for getting food poisoning! by the way this is fact as I worked for the a few years ago & I asked why)

It's a company policy no doubt. If they'd offer it like that then they'd have to warn you of the risk of salmonella, which you can find printed on some restaurant menus. You can't get a rare hamburger because of e. coli. They decided not to offer them rather than warn you and fight about it if you got sick.

because of food safety...everything must be cooked completely to ensure no chance of getting you sick from cross contamination.if you went to a diner or restaurant im sure they might comply as long as you assume total responsibility thats why some menus have a food advisry warning stating that you can eat meats rare or food s undercooked but it advises that you can run the risk of getting ill. eater be aware

All fast food resturants have "pre-cooked_ food, your egg they put on that biscuit is a frozen square in a box when they get it. They don't crack it from the shell.
