I have been buying birds eye frozen veg because it last longer and quicker to cook. I have also been buying frozen steam veg that you can microwave in 3 mins. Is this not as good for you?

The best way to get the nutritional value from fruit and vegetables is freshly picked. But this isn't easy if you buy fresh from shop it is often picked before it is ripe and looses some of it's goodness in transit but frozen is pretty good because it is usually harvested and frozen pretty quick so retaining nutritional benefits. Frozen comes a very close second to fresh.

Fresh is the best, but frozen is next in having the best nutritional value. I would think the steamed would retain more of the nutrients.

fresh is always best but frozen are ok now and then.....I would not buy any of those veggies that you microwave in the plastic bag they come in.....I always transfer foods into glass before putting in the microwave.......
