We can get eternal life if and only if we fulfill the 10 comandements of the God of Israel and obey to Jesus 'teachings acknowledging Jesus as the Son of God The Father ,( having also the condition of a god inside the Holly Trinity of Eternal Son from eternity..), but obeyed to God The Father.I am Ortodox Christian .Ortodoxy says :God is the Holly Trinity : God The Father , Jesus, the eternal Son of God , and the Holly Spirit , the third Divine Person also a part of God .The Holly Trinity is called one and the same God because is an only God with the same will.Three Persons having the same will , one God . The way ..we are a family...something like that..
According to the Bible God looks like a man (Daniel , Isaiah , Iezechia saw Him)Some theologist don't think God looks like a man .They say God has no legs , nose, lips ,eyes like us, hair..I think we must obey to Bible ..the big prophets saw Him.God is having legs and beautiful eyes, and hair He is gorgeous..We are little, we must listen to the highest saints of the Bible who saw God -The Father .
Although Holly Spirit also looks like a man ...They all look like men. There were no women in heaven .The first woman was Eve. The angels looks like men too.

"Only one who can learn the process of nescience and that of transcendental knowledge side by side can transcend the influence of repeated birth and death and enjoy the full blessing of immortality". Sri Ishopanishad mantra 11.
"My dear Lord, one who earnestly waits for You to bestow Your causeless mercy upon him, all the while patiently suffering the reactions of his past misdeeds and offering You respectful obeisances with his heart, words and body, is surely eligible for liberation, for it has become his rightful claim".
Srimad Bhagavatam(10.14.8)
A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) comments on the above verse as follows,
When a devotee is in a condition of so-called distress, he considers it a gift or blessing from the Supreme Personality of Godhead. When a devotee is always thus situated in Krishna consciousness in any condition of life, he is described as mukti-pade sa daya-bhak, a perfect candidate for returning home, back to Godhead. The word daya-bhak means "inheritance." A son inherits the property of his father. Similarly, when the devotee is fully Krishna conscious, undisturbed by dualities, he is sure that he will return home, back to Godhead, just as one inherits his father's property.

Depends which tradition you are coning from - if you believe in rebirth then just die, if you believe in the Christian faith accept Jesus into your heart, if you believe in Allah I think you have to lead a good life according to the qua ran - there are many others take your pick.
