I started a new diet and it consists of lean beef, chicken breasts, egg whites, 2 L of water a day and lots and lots of fruits and veggies (that's just an idea of what I eat through out the week, it's not my daily intake). I started it a week ago and started getting headaches but then when back to my regular diet (bad foods) the headaches went away. I know that when I gave up caffeine I had withdrawals but what's the deal with this diet. Am I going through sugar or salt withdrawal or something?

ur body isnt used to being so healthy that its having withdrawal symptoms. or somethin you are eating could be giving you headaches. keep a food and headache diary. if it doesnt get any better, see your doctor

It's the caffeine.... sugar.... and all the preservatives.... that you have been eating..... your body is getting rid of them... but in the process you are going to have to go through withdrawals.... hang in there because they do go away..... it might take some time but they will go away.... if they bother you .... don't change your diet all at once and the transition will be much easier for you..... less withdrawal symptoms ...... if you take medications for the headaches etc.... you will just be adding to your toxicity..... try doing it with no meds if possible....

To much water can over hydrate you and cause headaches. try the same diet with only 1 liter a day (for around a week ) and see if it helps. Also remember fruit and veggie juices are good for you as well.

Yes, that is probably toxic food withdrawal (were you that bad off to begin with?) and your body's fighting hard to push those toxins out. But please, please keep up with your new diet because it is so very worth it. Take some pain medication if it gets to be too much but don't give up! You are on the right track.
