No. I have had people ask, plead and demand it with threats of hellfire though. Never going to happen. I believe you should always be true to yourself. Paying lip service to a religion that you don't believe is never a good thing, it's dishonest.

For me, religion, or rather spirituality, is a highly personal relationship between me and my Creator. I don't really see any major clashes between most religions....essentially, they all call for people to just be kind to one another. The differences are just superficial....different places of worship, prayers, customs, festivals etc. I see religion as being deeper than that.

While I am a Christian, I have at times followed rituals of other religions, for example when visiting friends during their religious festivals. I may have followed different rituals then, but I'm essentially worshipping the same God, so I don't see anything wrong in that.

From centuries, most of us are conditioned to think that religions are completely distinct, and that if you are something, but change to something else, you've betrayed your previous religion. But I don't agree with that. Its basically for convenience that you tend to follow a particular set of rituals.

But to answer your question directly, would I completely switch over to another set of rituals only to satisfy others? No. Like I said, religion is a personal relationship between you and your Maker, so you follow certain rituals and live a certain way because YOU believe in it, not because that's what others want.

No, I didn't change for my wife, and she hasn't changed for me.

Besides if you could so easily denounce your faith (no matter what it is) your not worthy of god's (goddesses) grace anyway.

No! God comes first. It doesn't matter what my friends or loved ones think, It's not about them or me.
