Above answer mostly correct. Just had a few things to add.

Scrubbers installed at Power Plants spray water or other fluid into stack gas (in a separate compartment, not down into the stack) to decrease concentration of heavier gases in the plant exhaust. The water "rinses" the exhaust (like rain does the air), and thereby "scrubs" the exhaust of particulates and contaminating gases. They are then dissolved in the water. (It then becomes a wastewater issue, so it should not be just dumped into the nearest river as it likely contains contaminants and high acidity that wouldn't be good for the river.) However, it is one theoretical way to capture CO2 from power plants, a major source of CO2.

Unfortunately, more and more, mobile sources (cars and trucks) are becoming a bigger source of CO2. If we really want to make a difference in CO2 levels, we would also improve mass transit, produce more fuel-efficient vehicles, or otherwise reduce CO2 emissions from transportation sources.

Hopes this helps!

All coal plants require scrubbers on there exhaust. They have tall stacks and water is sprayed down them which washes the dirt and some of the CO2 is absorbed by the water. It is very good as they have these plants all over New Mexico and all u can see coming out of the stacks is steam.

co2 scrubber miss jhoy niola is an equipment that cleanses co2 air upon freeing it into the atmopsphere. commonly carbon dioxide harms the environment by the greenhouse effect.
thus when you use scrubber, you minimze the pollutants in the air, also this mayb manufacture to be used on beverages and refrigirant manufacturer, making the co2 useful
