I look around at my peers and i see them absolutely ruining their hair by streaking with mulitiple colours, bleaching it, straightening it and blowdrying it.

Then i look at myself, with my long(just above my elbows) natural, shiny, thick, healthy hair, and i think... Why is everyone doing this to their hair?

Is my hair too boring? Compared to theirs, of course it would be, but not necessarily in a good way. Their hair is way too fake and damaged... Am i right?

Just so you know, my hair does have layers, at the ends i have round layers, but i am growing them out now.. In the past i have thought about doing something to my hair, such as streaking, but then changed my mind. Once you start, you can't stop, as there is regrowth. I also think i would regret it, as i do ballet and if my hair doesn't look neat and well groomed then i will lose marks in exams.. And i'm also not a very outgoing person, so totally retro hair wouldn't suit my personality.

you dont have to dye your hair to be cool. yeah some people like dying their hair, others like straightening and stuff, and its their choice. i like dying my hair coz i get bored with it easily, but sumtimes i can go for months without doing anythin to it at all.

if you think your hair is boring, why not get it cut into a cool style, that way, it can be different, but you dont have to die it. or keep it the same length but add a few layers etc. do whatever you want to do. and they can do whatever they want

Many people get their hair done and go too overdone. They dont use that great of products and get pulled into trying to get perfect hair.

There is a way for your hair not to look so "boring" and healthy at the same time. First of all, highlights do not have to be so extreme. You can go online and look at some highlights that would be beneficial to your facial features, skin, and "boringness." Or you could ask your stylist some of his/her opinions on what would look best for you. Also there are many products and shampoos you can use too. Heres some helpful tips and hints to still having healthy and naturally looking hair:

I color, straighten, and sometimes curl my hair. It still is natural, shiny, thick, and not boring looking. I use Tre Semme shampoo. It helps keep my hair shiny and thick. Also, I get my hair trimmed so there are no split ends which makes my hair look healthy as well. Also, I avoid putting my hair into ponytails because it supposedly damages your hair. Where there's a will, there's a way.

But if you want to keep your hair as is, then more power to you.

Good luck with your decision.

Personally, I would probably find your look more attractive than the others, but that's just me.

I like a little more natural look, without a lot of coloring.

Now, I'm sort of old and you sound sort of young, but I'll bet there are young guys who would have about the same tastes in girls as I would if I were your age.

Keep your hair clean and healthy looking and you'll do just fine. I like your approach.

Let me tell you this danjella. I tell you the truth. I love hair in general. Well head hair I mean... not the other stuff. I simple love it. I love LONG hair. LONG NATURAL hair. So basically I can tell you this. If it were up to me to chose whose hair was the prettiest. I would definitely say yours.

I am not sucking up - its just the truth.

Yeah your VERY right. I started dyeing my hair since 5th grade and cutting it and ruining it ever since. and now, its all jacked up. very dry and short. haha. and i go swimming every day so chlorine ruins it, of course i wear a cap but it still gets ruined. i really regret this. i wish i had your hair (;

evaluate some low-lighting fixtures in those darker hues to function seen texture on your hair. gentle eyes decrease your possibilities in issues like clothing and eye makeup. each and everything is going with brown.

actually their hair is way too experimented with (which is very good) and deprived of its natural flamboyance(not damaged).

i think, yeah you are boring because you are scared shitless that when you get your hair done, you look ugly and when someone comments you on that, you no longer have your sure win, foolproof, very very good answer that:

"well, my hair is natural. i do not straighten it so it has waves, but thought it has waves, its natural [and SO boring] ! and it is not fake and damaged!"
