yes, three months ago in Mauritius. my wedding was organised by Trailfinders (trailfinders.com). Super time, I felt absolutely spoilt rotten by the hotel staff who make our wedding really memorable. Generally, the smaller the hotel, the better you will be treated!

Yes - just returned home yesterday after travelling 1800 miles to the west coast of Australia for the wedding of my elder son on the beach , at sunset, at Yanchep, Western Australia. We set up a shelter - a roof without walls, with a table inside, and a rug for the couple to stand on. The sunset (it's summer in Australia now) was glorious, and there were several hundred photos taken by the friends and family.
A sunset beach wedding on a western shore is the most romantic setting imaginable.

Well I haven't had a beach wedding but I have been married and I would suggest that if you have to book with a resort who do lots of weddings on the same day you book the last slot available for the day in question.
You will then have all day to get ready and they won't have to rush you through for the next one(as often happens in church never mind a beach), you won't need to rush your photo's because of another bridal party and if you're wearing a white/cream dress with lots of detailing too much sunlight makes it hard to capture effectively.
Good luck, hope this helps at least a little bit.
